Dr. Karthik Palanivelu (Velu) is a Consultant Community Paediatrician and Clinical Lead for Paediatric Epilepsy within Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust. His clinical expertise encompasses Paediatric Epilepsy, Neurodevelopment, Neurodisability, and Sensory Impairments. Dr. Velu is experienced in the diagnostic assessment of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism and ADHD.

Dr. Velu has been conferred with a Fellowship by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health & Higher Education Academy. He holds certification as a trainer for Paediatric Epilepsy Training provided by the British Paediatric Neurology Association. He has been nominated as the regional representative for the British Association of Paediatricians in Audiology national network and is an active member of the West Midlands BACCH Network.

Dr. Velu maintains a particular interest in Medical Education and provides supervision to Paediatric Speciality Trainees and Health professionals engaged in the care of children and young persons.
