I began my Psychiatry training at UCL in London before completing my speciality registrar training at the Tavistock and Portman hospital in North West London. During this time I worked in the liaison, community, and specialist eating disorder service at the Royal Free Hospital. I also worked in the looked after children’s team at the Tavistock and the Coborn adolescent inpatient unit in East London. I first worked as a consultant for the adolescent team in Hackney. A team that saw the most complex patients in the area, and was rated as outstanding by the CQC.
On moving to Norfolk in 2018 I joined the Great Yarmouth Community Youth and Crisis Service. After three years in post I moved to a liaison and associate clinical director role in Suffolk. I continue to work part time as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist in a community CAMHS team in Suffolk. I have a special interest in psychodynamic therapy and studied psychodynamic psychotherapy for psychiatrists at Tavistock throughout my training.
I have also completed training in mentalisation based therapy for adults, adolescents and couples. I have over ten years experience in practicing mindfulness and have completed a residential training in MBCT (mindfulness based cognitive therapy)
