Third-Person Bio

Amber is an HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist with extensive experience supporting children and young people aged 1–18 who present with a wide range of complex speech, language, and communication needs. A significant part of her caseload involves working with autistic children and young people—both pre- and post-diagnosis—supporting their communication, social interaction, and individual developmental goals.

Currently based at C&D Speech and Language Therapy in Essex, Amber provides assessment and intervention across clinic settings, mainstream schools, and specialist education provisions. She is trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches, including PECS, Colourful Semantics, Shape Coding, Attention Autism, and Makaton.

In addition to her clinical practice, Amber serves as a Practice Educator at C&D Speech and Language Therapy, mentoring Speech and Language Therapy students during clinical placements to help them build the skills and confidence required for professional practice. Driven by a passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and a strong interest in autism assessment and intervention, Amber delivers a compassionate, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to care.
