I have been a qualified Speech and Language Therapist for 15 years, gaining my BSc (Hons) in Human Communication from De Montfort University in 2010. Since then, I have worked within Norfolk and Waveney in both the NHS and private sectors, supporting children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
During my career, I have specialised in supporting young people with hearing impairment, neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. autism) and learning disabilities (LD). I am trained to administer and code the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and have experience in assessing young people for both Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
I continue to work within the NHS as a Senior Neurodevelopmental Specialist, as well as mentoring colleagues accessing Speech & Language Therapy apprenticeships.
