My experience prior to clinical psychology training included supporting college students with special education needs, carrying out autism assessments, and providing individual and group therapy for adults living with persistent pain. I have experience delivering CBT, DBT and ACT, with a particular focus on supporting people to live a full and meaningful life, regardless of diagnosis. I believe that an individual should not be limited by their diagnosis and work therapeutically with them to overcome challenges and enhance their belief in themselves.
In addition to my clinical work, I have carried out research considering NHS staff’s experiences with, and perceptions of those living with diagnoses which carry stigma. The aim of my research was to understand the impact the clinician can have on therapeutic outcomes and to inform ways of working.
