Dr Emily Hale – Clinical Psychologist
Clinic Location:
OnlineClinical Psychologist at Help for Psychology
Clinical Experience
She has worked extensively in both the NHS and independent sector, supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, including neurodiversity (such as autism and ADHD), anxiety disorders, trauma, and attachment difficulties.
As a Clinical Psychologist, she holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), which means she is trained to understand how thoughts, emotions, and experiences shape mental health and wellbeing. While she does have the title of ‘Dr’, you won’t find her taking blood tests or prescribing medication! Instead, her role is to help young people understand their difficulties and find effective ways to manage them.
She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). This means she meets strict professional and ethical standards, has undergone extensive training, and is committed to ongoing learning to ensure she provides the best possible support.
She knows that coming to see a psychologist (or any mental health professional) for the first time can feel daunting, and she wants to reassure you that her approach is friendly, warm, and adaptable. She takes the time to get to know each child and family, making sure sessions feel as comfortable, safe, and tailored as possible. Her goal is always to help young people and families feel understood and empowered.
