Clinical Psychologist at Help for Psychology
Clinical Experience
Since qualifying, I’ve worked primarily in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), also branching out into Looked After Children teams and Intensive Support Teams. I draw on a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy(CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also have specialist training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP – Level 1) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR – standard and child protocols), and have a keen interest in attachment theory and infant mental health.
I take a person-centred approach, working alongside each young person and their family to understand their unique needs, strengths, and goals. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with autism and/or ADHD, and my personal experience with these conditions drives my passion for making sure every child and their family feels understood, valued, and supported. I believe in working closely with families, schools, and other professionals to create safe, supportive environments where young people can build their confidence and thrive.
