Dr Louise Walker -
I have been working with adults, young people, children, and families with a range of mental health challenges and emotional distress since 2006. I have experience working across a number of settings including a NHS/local authority therapeutic school, private and NHS hospitals, and within community mental health teams. I work with people of all ages, integrating a number of therapeutic models into my practice enabling me to tailor the assessment and intervention to achieve the best possible outcomes.
The models I draw upon include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Systemic family therapy and psychodynamic approaches.
My particular interest is working with under 25’s and families for whom I provide assessment and therapeutic interventions for a range of psychological issues including social, emotion and behavioural difficulties, attachment disorders, neuro-
