Help for Aspergers -
It is estimated that at least 1% of the adult population is affected by Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. Historically it has been very difficult for adults to access appropriate services or obtain a formal diagnosis of their difficulties.
In line with the recommendations in the Autism Bill, which was passed by Parliament in April 2010, we have developed an assessment and diagnosis service for adults.
We provide a full assessment of strengths and difficulties (including daily living activities), and provide a diagnosis (where appropriate), together with follow-
Additionally, we have extensive experience of working within secure forensic settings, and can also provide this type of assessment for individuals detained under the Mental Health Act, or those involved with the Criminal Justice System.
In those cases where ‘fitness to plead’ or ‘mens rea’ (guilty mind) is in question, we can also act as an Expert Witness.
Finally, we have extensive experience of providing parenting assessments for care proceedings, where it is suspected that parents may have a developmental difficulty, such as Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.
