Help for ADHD
Many children on the Autistic Spectrum (some estimates suggest around 40%) also have features of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) or ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). We offer a very comprehensive screening service for ADHD, and the results within our detailed report can then be shared with your GP to consider whether any ongoing medication is appropriate to help support your child.
For those parents who either do not wish to consider medication, or who feel that their child might benefit from a psychologically based behaviour management approach, we can help to put together an individualised behaviour plan.
We also have a member of our team, who has experience in sensory integration difficulties, and who can advise on strategies for use in the classroom and home which may help a child to concentrate and focus more effectively.
